Orange Spice Sweet Potato Pie
Here is a variation on the Coconut Pecan Pumpkin Pie. The only differences are to substitute sweet potato for the pumpkin and add 1/2-1 tbs orange flavored extract to the batter. View the recipe here and make those two simple changes. :)

Yum that looks so good!!!! I made Pumpkin pie around Halloween time (When there were pumpkins for sale :)) http://justadashofgeek.com/pumpkin-pie/ - Yours sound better then mine :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I love pumpkin pie! Yours sounds like a delicious classic recipe, for sure. Mine just has various modifications to make it sugar-free, gluten-free, etc. For example, the coconut milk and stevia helps replace the sweetened condensed milk and the pecan (or other nut) crust makes it gluten free and lowers carbs and increases protein. You can make fresh whip cream with a mixer and just add stevia instead of sugar to top it! All yummy! :)
ReplyDeleteIt does sound super yummy and a load healthier.
ReplyDeleteGive it a try and let me know what you think. :) Also, the Coconut Pecan Pumpkin Pie linked to above is GRRRREAT! I was going to make it again with pumpkin I took out of the freezer but when I realized it was sweet potato I unthawed I ended up with this version above instead.
